The
story so far ...

1999
STVconnect is formed by ex-BOY service engineer Steve Perry and ex-BOY salesman Stefan Cork and opens it's doors for trade on 1st December in Milton Keynes.  The STVconnect philosophy is to provide quality refurbished BOY injection moulding machines at a fair price.

2000
STVconnect sells 35 fully refurbished machines in it's first full year of trading - not bad for two blokes in a tiny industrial unit of a few hundred square feet.

2002
STVconnect move to a much larger industrial unit in Blakelands, Milton Keynes and employ a full time administrator and service engineer to cope with the increased level of sales for their refurbished BOY machines.  Another record year for sales with almost 70 rebuilt machines in total.

2003
STVconnect dip a toe in the water and start brokering a few machines that are too big and expensive for us to buy into stock, instead opting to introduce buyers to sellers directly and sell machines directly from the shop floor. Customers soon take to buying machines directly from the shop floor and brokerage starts to replace the refurbished BOY machines as STVconnect's main revenue.

2004
Refurbishment of BOY machines becomes less profitable as prices of new machinery is falling and margins are squeezed.  Brokerage of used machinery in the meantime is booming and quantities of machinery sold roughly triples, clearly selling machinery this way is popular with moulders..

2005
STVconnect choose to share their huge database of market prices with the moulding community and introduce their free on-line machinery valuations for anyone to use and accurately value their secondhand equipment.

2006
STVconnect make available online a limited number of popular manufacturers datasheets for machines made by the likes of Arburg, Battenfeld, BOY, Demag, Engel etc.

2007
Richard Perry joins as STVconnect Sales Manager to add strength to our existing team and increase the level of sales into the plastic processing sector.

2009
STVconnect splits from the STV Group and moves to its new home in Northampton with Richard Perry taking control of day to day running of the growing operation.
