Frequently Asked Questions
Why should I choose STVconnect to sell my redundant machinery?
We have over 30 years experience selling equipment to the plastics industry. We are able to reach the parts our competitors don’t reach. STVconnect send around 5000 weekly targeted e-mails to our list of contacts built up since 1999. We also send regular postal campaigns, and spend a lot of time phone bashing! This website receives around 20,000 page views per month, guaranteeing the widest possible audience for your used machinery. In 2008 we have met many new contacts at our stands at the PDM and Interplas exhibitions.
What is the difference between your sole and multi selling agreements?
STVconnect can act as ‘sole’ selling agents for equipment whereby STVconnect are the only company and/or individual instructed to find a buyer. Our ‘multi’ agreement allows a client to instruct STVconnect as well as to try and find a buyer through other means, often with a higher commission rate payable.
What is expiry date / what happens when it comes?
The expiry date is agreed prior to marketing the machines between STVconnect and the seller. Once the expiry date is reached, the commission rate will remain as agreed but the agreement now changes to our ‘multi’ service.
What do STVconnect charge to market my used machinery?
STVconnect don't charge anything to market your machinery, so there's no risk at all for you! Once your equipment has been sold to a buyer that we've introduced, this is when we will charge you. Our minimum commission is £500. For items under £1500, we suggest you visit our classifieds web site at
www.STVdirect.co.uk.

Our statistical boffins have advised that historically each item sold on STVconnect took an average of 35 days to sell from the first day it appeared on our web site.

Can STVconnect provide invitation letters?
Unfortunately due to recent unsuccesful transactions we are unable to provide invitation letters without a deposit being made on the equipment. Upon inspection, if the equipment is not as specified the deposit can be returned with the acceptance of our seller. We are sure you appreciate the administrative time and communication that is involved with the various embassies.
